Welcome to Mundarda Child Care
Why Mundarda Child Care
We regard each child as a unique individual and allow children to
explore their environment through challenging play experiences
Large Outdoor Play Area
Our centre is fortunate to have three large outdoor play areas which are all shaded by trees and additional shade cloth. Inside there are numerous toys, games and books to keep the children learning via play.
There is so much to keep our little ones busy. We incorporate various sensory play, water play, cooking and art activities. Educators try to use recycled paper and items in these activities and experiences.
Learning Through Fun
When you’re having fun, you boost your positive emotions which activate the learning centres in your brain. Whether you’re playing in a team or one-to-one, you develop your social skills through play.
We follow the Eat Right Start Right program. 8-week rotation winter and summer menu. Baby vegetables and other food cooked on the premises. We discourage sugar/sweet foods.
We believe that our Educators are an outstanding team of staff and one of our greatest assets, and as a result we pride ourselves not only the quality of the staff that we choose for our centre, but also the way that we look after them to ensure their work is continually of the highest standard.
- We provide them with regular in-house training and assistance in furthering their own qualifications.
- We work together to form a team who respect, value and share our knowledge and skills.
- Our dedicated Educators are carefully chosen and have the appropriate educational background to ensure quality care.
- They are friendly, patient, enthusiastic, understanding, trustworthy and model positive attitudes and behaviour.
Overseeing our curriculum at the centre is our early childhood teacher, who strives to ensure that our environment, educators and learning programme are maximising your children’s learning opportunities. With a degree in early education and teaching they co-ordinate the planning and experiences provided for your children throughout the centre, ensuring quality education and care programmes.
Claire Siaus is the Director of the centre. She manages the overall functioning of the centre and has a Diploma in Children’s Services with 32 years experience working with children and also has 1 child of her own. Claire has a real passion for childcare and believes that children are of utmost importance.
We have our very own cook, that daily prepares morning tea, hot lunch and afternoon tea, that are the most fresh, delicious, well balanced and healthy meals to ensure quality and taste. Fresh fruits and vegetables are always on the menu.
We also provide an individual menu to those children who have special diet requirements or suffer from known or suspected allergies
Your children’s education and wellfare are our main priorities
