Mundarda was founded in 1993 on a vision of giving children the best possible start in life through access to quality early learning.

At Mundarda, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, secure, and loved. We prioritise play as a vital tool for growth, carefully designing activities that nourish children’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.

We know every child is a unique learner, so we provide a caring environment where trust is the foundation for discovery. In our indoor and outdoor spaces, children are free to explore, create, and express themselves.

Our team of qualified early childhood educators are committed to providing high quality care that supports both your child and your family. By maintaining excellent staff-to-child ratios and a healthy, safe environment, we earn the confidence of parents and children alike.

We are fully accredited by the National Childcare Accreditation Council (NCAC) and therefore maintain the High Quality Practices developed by NCAC.

We take safety seriously

Yes, we offer plenty of opportunities to get messy, explore, and try new things. We also follow strict health and safety guidelines, keep our first-aid qualifications current and ensure our comprehensive child safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Children and families alike are educated about healthy food practices by providing a variety of nutritionally based healthy meals and snacks from different parts of the world. Preparations consider allergies, intolerances, and cultural practices.
Working collaboratively with families and the community to engage each child to reach their full potential and encourage continuity from home to care.
We build trusting relationships with families and the children, acknowledging that families are children's first teachers and supporting them in this role.
Our centre is guided by a volunteer management committee made up of families and community members who are actively involved in monthly meetings and decision-making processes, ensuring our service reflects the values and needs of the community.
There is great value in children engaging with their community through regular excursions to places of interest.
We recognise the traditional owners of the land through meaningful experiences and conversations with children, families and the wider community.
We advocate for children's rights to equal opportunities, care, and wellbeing.
Differences across cultures, abilities and beliefs are valued and embraced.
The environment is the 'third teacher' and as such our environments are inspired by Reggio Emilia and set up in a way that encourages engagement and exploration.
We implement an indoor/outdoor program as much as possible, giving children access to a range of experiences and the freedom to choose where they play.
